VIC Government Support for Local Business

In response to the latest lockdown measures by the Victorian government announced on 27 May 2021, the government has released the $250M Circuit Breaker Business Support Package aimed at assisting small to medium businesses and sole traders.

The package is aimed at those businesses who are unable to operate during the 7-day lockdown period due to public health measures.

The full details of the package are included here and also outlines what support is available for the various businesses impacted.

In short,

• $2,500 grants are available for eligible employing and non-employing businesses in sectors most impacted.
• $3,500 grants are available for businesses holding an eligible liquor licence and food certificate.
• An undisclosed grant amount for operators in the event industry – more information to be made available shortly.
