The Fair Work Commission has been reviewing all modern awards and will be releasing new versions in three different groups or “tranches.”

The first tranche of awards will apply from the first full pay period on or after 4 February 2020. Note: For a Monday to Sunday pay period, the new awards take effect from Monday 10 February 2020.

For most awards, the biggest change is to the layout and the language – your award should now be more simple and easier to understand. In most cases, the rules and entitlements in your award will not change significantly.
